Moe'z Art

Photobucket

Morley Simon Gordon, who goes by the name Moe'z Art, was born in Brooklyn, NY 24 years ago. For the last 10 years, Morley has spent his days rapping and singing. Since he was 18 years old, he has been playing shows in Arizona, aside from a couple of shows that he played in Los Angeles; one of which Morley played his set on crouches because he refused to turn down a show at the world famous Viper Room. In 2005, Morley recorded his first album, Fingering My Piano In the Dark (a low quality recording done in his own room). Four years later, he re-recorded these tracks with a live band on his second album, One Man's Trash... Morley plans on taking a break from playing shows to write and record a third album for 2011.

In regards to his music, Morley said, "I rap about what's real to me and the people I hold close. I would say I hope to change something in the world for the better with my music."

Coast Royalty

Photobucket

Before he was PWEST (PWEST's profile below), Peta Peta West was in a group known as Coast Royalty. Coast Royalty is one of the bands in the rising empire known only as The C.O.A.S.T. The group started in late 2007 when a mutual friend of Peta Peta West and Eric Capone, named Mat Hancock, passed away. The two got together and recorded several tracks before splitting up (link to their myspace that features a few of these tracks is below). Even though Peta and Eric live in different states and both have solo projects, Coast Royalty is still reigning. The group reunites to play shows whenever possible and even plans on releasing a second mixtape.

Travis Ross

Photobucket

Travis Ross is bringing back the sound of early 90s rap. This hard-working Long Beach based rapper constantly plays shows around Southern California. He even opened for Tha Dogg Pound (Daz & Kurupt) at the Pasadena Terrace. In June of this year, Ross plans on dropping his first mixtape, The Hip Hop Misfit (the link to the video for the first single off this mixtape is below). Soon after his first mixtape, Ross, along with producers Beats McGreevy and Alpha MC, will release his first album, Stewed, Screwed, and Tattooed. And if this wasn't enough to keep the young rapper busy, he is also co-owner of the new clothing company Deaf Culture (link to Deaf Culture's blog below).
